Sep-17-2024
In a historic move, a beloved character from comic lore is set to achieve a remarkable milestone in Hollywood. Batman, a prominent figure in the realm of superheroes, is poised to become the first of his kind to receive a star on the celebrated Hollywood Walk of Fame.
The group that oversees the Walk of Fame has revealed that Batman will receive the 2,790th star on September 26. While it's uncertain whether the iconic figure will be present to deliver a speech, Jim Lee, the president and chief creative officer of DC, is confirmed to attend the event.
Fans globally will undoubtedly appreciate that Batman's star will be positioned alongside the stars of Adam West, who brought Batman to life on television, and Bob Kane, who co-created the character. Hollywood Walk of Fame producer Ana Martinez expressed excitement over this dedicated recognition.
Originally introduced through DC Comics, Batman gained international fame thanks to the classic TV series and a series of blockbuster films. Michael Keaton's portrayal of the Dark Knight in the late 1980s and early 1990s through Batman and Batman Returns significantly influenced the superhero film genre.
Subsequent actors such as Val Kilmer, George Clooney, Christian Bale and Ben Affleck have taken on the角色 of the Bat suit in various live-action adaptations. Robert Pattinson has recently taken on the role in the 2022 film The Batman, which is set to see a sequel. Additionally, another version of Batman is set to make an appearance in The Brave and the… Bold, part of the refreshed DC Universe by DC Studios.
Among all those who've portrayed the Caped Crusader, Keaton stands out as the only one to possess a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
