This article highlights the recent expansion of CD Projekt Red’s workforce on their highly anticipated fourth installment in the Witcher series. Fans are eager as nearly 500 talented individuals join the effort to shape a memorable gaming experience through impressive visuals and innovative gameplay elements.
During last summer, an early look at the upcoming installment was presented, revealing striking visual elements reminiscent of the Unreal Tech Demo. Although the preview was not full gameplay, the imagery provided a lasting impression that suggested a refined aesthetic similar to the cinematic showcase from the previous major gaming event.
CD Projekt Red’s co-chief, Michał Nowakowski, stated that considerable emphasis has been dedicated to welcoming more than 220 new team members in the past year. These experts are primarily involved with the development of this installment, working to enhance and expand upon the quality and scope of features introduced in the Unreal Fest demonstration.
In addition to refining the game’s visuals, the combined efforts of the 499 developers contribute to numerous aspects of the project’s creation. While no official release schedule has been announced, the dedication of the teams has supporters optimistic about upcoming news. The current distribution of workforces across various projects is as follows:
- Over 100 developers are advancing the pre-production of the sequel for Cyberpunk 2077.
- Seventy-one professionals are dedicated to Project Sirius.
- Twenty-six individuals are involved with Project Hadar, which remains in its concept phase.
- One hundred and sixty-nine team members contribute to Shared Services.
- Nineteen developers are allocated to several other projects.
