Sep-07-2025

This news presents a fresh twist for fans of portable gaming technology. Enhancements and improvements have been introduced, promising a refined gaming experience for users seeking mobility without sacrificing power.
During the recent trade show in Berlin, Lenovo unveiled its latest gaming system that builds upon last year's design. A standout feature is an upgraded 8.8-inch OLED screen, moving away from the older LCD display. While the resolution has been slightly decreased from 2560x1600 to 1920x1200, this change is unlikely to be a significant drawback for most gamers. Moreover, the inclusion of variable refresh rate and a dynamic setting ranging between 30 and 144Hz contributes to smoother gameplay.
Powering the new device is the Ryzen Z2 or an enhanced version, the Z2 Extreme, paired Featuring a selectable memory configuration of 16GB or 32GB of system RAM and… storage options that reach up to 2TB. Users can also expand storage using a microSD, maintaining a familiar flexibility from the previous model. Notably, the battery has seen a marked improvement, now offering a capacity of 74Wh, which is nearly a 50 percent increase.
However, the update also means a change in overall portability. The revised unit now weighs 1079 grams, roughly 200 grams more than before, and appears bulkier. How this added weight affects extended use still remains an open consideration.
The device will hit the market in October with a Windows operating system. While European pricing has yet to be finalized, the United States sees the base model priced at around $1,100. For those opting for the higher-end configuration, which includes the Ryzen Z2 Extreme, 32GB of memory, and 2TB of storage, the cost climbs to about $1,480, positioning the system in the premium market segment.
Key features include:
- 8.8-inch OLED display with a flexible refresh rate
- Options for Ryzen Z2 or Z2 Extreme processors
- Memory choices of 16GB or 32GB
- Storage capacity up to 2TB with microSD expansion
